Laya telugu actress was once hot in telugu film industry. Her debut film as an actress was Swayam Varam with popular actor Venu in 1999.

Actress Laya was famous in malayalam film industries also. She acted with megastar Mammootty and Superstar Mohanlal in Thommanum makkalum, Udayon respectively.

Other than being an actress, she was a trained classical dancer too. She performed in more than fifty stage shows.

Actress Laya was not active in films after her marriage with Dr. Sri Ganesh in 14th June 2006.

After her marriage she was settled in USA. The couple is blessed with a cute daughter named Sloka.
