Malayalam actress Karthika is famous in her yakshi roles in Vinayan pictures. She was introduced as heroine in malayalam through Vellinakshtram movie.

After 10th standard, Karthika got a chance in Vinayan's Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan. Before that she acted in Kasi (Vikram film in 2001).

Pulanvisaranai 2 is her first tamil film, but it was not released. After acting in many malayalam movies, Karthika again try her luck in a Tamil movie - Naam Nadu with Sharat Kumar. This film was successful.

After that actress Karthika got several offers from Tamil film industry and now she is concentrating only in Tamil films it seems.

In May 18, 2009, this sexy malayalam actress got married to Merin Mathew, who is settled in America. After her marriage also, she is involved in films and she has done 3 films in 2010 itself. Karthika's last malayalam film was twenty:20 and after that she is not signed any malayalam films.
