The cute Nayantara of southern film industry is born on 18th November 1984 (Thiruvalla, Kerala). She was Diana Mariam Kurian and she adopted the screen name Nayanthara. Nayanthara debuted in Sathyan Anthikadu malayalam film Manassinakkare (2003) in which Jayaram on the lead role. Then she was seen with Mohanlal in Vismayathumbathu and Natturajavu in 2004
After that she was selected in director Hari's film Ayya and Sharat Kumar was the hero. Director Hari saw her photo in a magazine and invited to be part of his film.

She was luck enough to act with super star Rajani Kant in his film Chandramukhi as Durga. This film was a super hit and Nayanthara become a successful heroine in south film industry.
